Join Gina Schley, owner of SHEGROWS, for a three-day immersive retreat into the art and science of traditional cold-process soapmaking.

October is one of the most beautiful times of year on the farm. The gardens are winding down, herbs are ready to be harvested and preserved, and the first cool mornings invite us back into the kitchen to create with intention. Together, we'll capture the abundance of the growing season and preserve it in bars of handcrafted soap that can be enjoyed all winter long or wrapped and gifted during the holidays.

Chasing Light

September 19 & 20, 2026

Photography, at its core, is not about getting the “perfect shot.” It is about presence. It draws you deeper into the moment…until you are no longer just looking at beauty—you are inside of it. You begin to notice the way light moves—how it dances across petals, how it shimmers at the edge of a stem, how it glows, surprises, and disappears just as quickly.

You begin to feel the fleeting nature of it all. And instead of trying to hold onto it…you learn to honor it. To witness. To receive. To create from that place.

Lynn Townsend will be guest teaching with Gina Schley this fall to offer a two day Floral Photography Retreat near the Autumn Equinox in September. This is the time when the light shifts, softens, and glows. Lynn is known for her presence and ability to see beauty in nature and capture it with her DSLR, and Gina is known for her gardens and will lead participants in floral design and iPhone photography.

Tj McGrath will be guest teaching alongside Gina Schley, owner of SHEGROWS, to offer this two day retreat in early June. Tj is known for his sculptural design techniques, and Gina is known for her European Style Gardens and the story that emerges through the flowers. Together they have created a place where creativity feels wide open--where flowers become teachers, where storytelling is part of the art. This is the invitation.
